For more than fifteen years, Benjamin Samuel has been helping nonprofit and arts organizations share their stories and engage their communities. He is currently the Senior Editor of BOMB Magazine and oversees literary features for its flagship print quarterly. Previoulsy, he has served as the Director of Programs for the National Book Foundation, a lecturer for Columbia University's Narrative Medicine master's program, the Co-Chair of the Booklyn Book Festival's fiction committee, and as an Editor at Electric Literature, where he cofounded Recommended Reading. He has also consulted for The Natural Areas Conservancy, the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses, and Archipelago Books. His writing has been published by McSweeney's, Guernica, Men's Journal, Publishers Weekly, Literary Hub, the New York Daily News, and elsewhere. He has an MFA from Brooklyn College, and he lives in New York City.
